Introducing the Beautiful Poetry of Zorha Redwolf Edwards
Tell us a bit about yourself.
Gosh, I am A Mother of six wonderfully hardheaded Children, and Grandmother to seven and counting. It’s not been an easy road to get to this point, I was Divorced twenty years ago. I was in a very abusive marriage and my Babies suffered, so I had to put my dreams on hold to make sure they were the best I could help them be. I educated myself and got a degree, but never finished my own desired goal of a PhD in History and Anthropology. I suffered as did my children from a great amount of loss, and seven years ago started on a dark journey into a horrible illness that almost took my life. I have never been one to accept defeat, so a pulled myself up and with the help of medication, education and great Doctors as well as the love of my kids began my path to wellness.
Almost a year four years ago I found a dear friend that I went to school with and discovered that he was a writer, and as I became friends with some other writer, all most a year ago I found this incredible group called Authors 4 Authors. I have loved literature from the age of three years old and always wanted to write. When inquiring about the group, I meet an Amazing woman and now my Sister of the Heart, Mrs. Savannah Morgan. She allowed me into the group because I wanted to write and soon I was helping her in the group. Everyone was so kind, and inspired me to do what I had needed to do all my life. No more did I hear I was not good enough, so I began on this exciting part of my journey, as a writer, Who New?
What bought you to the world of writing?
My love of story telling and my love of books. But then there is Savannah, Axle Erickson, who is like the little brother I never had. My children, who told me ‘It’s about time!’
What is your first book and what do you think of it now?
My Very First book will be released on October 31. ‘Dark Dreams,’ I never thought my first book released would be poetry. I love poetry with a passion, it speaks to me on a spiritual level, but to write it…I’m at awe with the reception and was drawn to make this my first release.
What type of books do you write and do they fulfill your reader’s needs?
I write whatever I hear in my soul. I have never been one to stay within labels or to be a ‘Type,’ I can write in all the genre’s. Writing fills my needs, it’s the one place that there are not walls to hold me back, I can be whoever and do whatever, and it’s all me.
How long does it take you to write your first draft?
It depends on what is going on in my head and who has got the ‘Biggest mouth’ that day!
Do you plot or not, if so why?
Nope, I just ‘Let it develop.’
Do you write in 1st or 3rd person, or have you do both?
I write in whatever is speaking…I have even wrote in ‘What person?’ he he
How do you edit your work? Do you leave your draft alone for a while or edit as you write?
Well for right now, I rewrite till I think it’s done. I am a strange bird, I hop around, it’s my ADD!
What type of people/readers do you market your books to?
Everyone, and yes that’s not good business I know, but I will tag myself or my readers, believe it or not, people have told me they don’t even like poetry, are reading mine, (It’s my twisted mind that draws them in)
Do you self-publish or have you worked with an Agent/Publisher
I am an Indie Author 100% of the way. I like being my own boss and having complete control in what is done with my soul parts, so yes self-publish it is.
How do you promote your writing?

Who are your favourite authors?
I’ll just name a few….
Lord Byron inspires my poetry.
Savannah Morgan, She has a wonderful gift to draw you into her world.
Ethan Radcliff, Hia Vampire Series is a new Favorite, He has a wonderful and strong gift for the super natural.
Marion Zimmer-Bradley, Her gift to show the world of fantasy and history thru the ‘Eyes of the Woman’ inspired at a young age to tell stories in my view-point.
Anne Rice, She was not afraid to write in her books about those things that she was searching for Answer to, nor was she afraid to share her sexual fantasies in her writing, not matter how much grief she took from her Faith.
David Lee Summers, I have been reading David’s stuff since we were in grade school together.
