TWoA Waiariki - Graduation 2016Hi everyone!  My name is Claire Plaisted.  I live in Rotorua, New Zealand with my family and one cat.  Rotorua is one of the main tourist stops for a cultural Maori experience with lots of  things to do, be it walking, cycling, museums, spa days etc.

I am an Indie Author, with side lines in genealogy where I research and format family history books for clients.  Since that time  I have also developed a business to help Indie Authors self publish.  I have helped publish 20  books for clients so far.

Plaisted Publishing House have package deals for Authors who need everything, from formatting, editing and book covers etc.  We also still offer one-off deals. My main aim is to get as many Indie Authors published and online as possible with reasonable costs.  After all not everyone is computer savvy.

Back to me!  I have published sixteen of my own books so far.  Two are short stories, five are part of a series which is called ‘Garrett Investigation Bureau.’  I have one adult fantasy, one children’s mythical story and four contemporary romance under my pen name ‘Beth Bayley.’  My latest book is ‘Girlie and the War of the Wasps,’ an adventure story for children from 3 years upwards.  It is, in essence about healthy eating and the book will help raise funds for ‘Chasing a Cure for Type 1 Diabetes.’

I started to write in 2012, quite by accident and ended up with a Regency Historical Novel, which is now in the editing process and will be published later in 2016.  From that time on, I have not stopped.  My work has been a continual learning curve which includes designing websites, learning how to us WORD more efficiently.

At present I am working on a War Diary about the 75 (NZ) Squadron and attending college to help enhance my small business management skills.

Enjoy looking at my books.  I will be updating and leaving teasers. I also teach basic WordPress to those who need assistance.

Claire
